Dylan Souquet Moglen
DC MDRI Mediator · Guest Facilitator
Dylan joins the Institute with a background in conflict resolution, dialogue facilitation, and international peacebuilding, having worked across Latin America, West and East Africa, the Middle East, and Europe in diverse and complex contexts.

Background & Journey to Mediation
Dylan's interest in mediation has been shaped by his work alongside local peacebuilders and alternative dispute resolution practitioners in West Africa, the Middle East, and the Amazon Basin. These experiences contributed to a more holistic and reflective understanding of conflict — and informed his decision to pursue mediation as a core part of his professional practice.
He brings particular strength in cross-cultural communication and mediation, drawing on experience working across cultural, institutional, and professional divides, and supporting dialogue in some of the world's most challenging environments.

“
His approach is grounded in neutrality, active listening, and the belief that effective mediation provides a structured space where all parties feel heard and respected.
|
|
Approach to Practice
Dylan brings a strong cross-cultural lens to his mediation practice, combining it with strong analytical skills that help parties clarify underlying interests, identify key issues, and move toward practical, forward-looking solutions.
His training in Psychological First Aid and trauma-informed practice further supports his ability to create a steady, respectful environment for difficult conversations — making him especially well-suited to emotionally complex and high-stakes disputes.

Dylan's Dual Role at DC MDRI
As an alumnus of our Mediation Skills Training & Certification program, Dylan knows firsthand what our curriculum demands — and what it equips practitioners to do. As a guest facilitator, he will bring that practitioner's perspective directly into the training room, enriching the next cohort with real-world insight from complex, cross-cultural contexts.
As a member of our panel of mediators, Dylan is now available to work with clients navigating difficult conversations, institutional disputes, and cross-cultural conflicts — in line with the Institute's mission of turning conflict into collaboration and innovation.
